Kameron “Bubba” Cain, age 33 of Princeton, a beloved father, brother and son passed away on April 3, 2024, in Jasper, GA. Born on July 13, 1990, in Princeton, he lived a life filled with passion for the outdoors, football accomplishments, he loved music, and most importantly, love for his family, friends and his son.
Bubba was well versed in garage door installment and repair. He spent the last 13 years developing his expertise in the business. He had plans to start his own company one day. He loved animals and nature, so he also considered a career as a park ranger.
In the realm of sports, Bubba shone brightly with his football achievements such as being named All-WKC and Defensive Lineman of the Year. He was offered a scholarship to Georgetown college but ultimately decided to not to go due to his son being conceived.
Bubba found consolation in the simple joys of life. He cherished spending time outdoors engaging in activities like hiking, foraging, and gardening. These hobbies allowed him to connect with nature and find peace under the sunshine. Growing up, him, his siblings, and cousins spent their summers barefoot outdoors tending to their family garden behind their Memaw’s home. He found solace there and it ultimately gave him a knack for gardening.
In his solitude he spent hours on end reading the books he collected. His collection over the years far surpassed the norm. He had a love for language despite being soft spoken. He spent time writing and journaling daily. His writing included poetry, and daily reflection.
He would lend a helping hand to anyone in need, and he thoroughly enjoyed building things with his hands. He loved traveling and seeing new places anytime he had the opportunity. He found solace in anything that kept him outdoors.
Described as a man who loved deeply by those who knew him best, Bubba’s son Ryder held a special place in his heart. Ryder was not just his son but also his world and reason for living. Additionally, Bubba adored his grandma Ruthie and Papaw Jesse, finding comfort and joy in their presence when he was growing up.
His love extended to his immediate family members including his son: Jameson Ryder Cain; mother, Melissa Cain of Princeton; his father, Lamon Holloway of Las Vegas, NV; his sisters, Erica Holloway of Princeton and Alisia Wilkerson of Paducah; one brother, Damonta Hopson (Kayla Wilson) of Princeton; his precious memaw Betty Sue Sewell Cain; his aunts, Sharon Cain Lawrence (Dwight Lawrence) of Princeton, Anita Cain Coggins (the late Don Coggins) of Hopkinsville and Minnie Mays of Tennessee; beautiful nieces and nephew, Malaysia Riley, Isabella Asher and Zy’Mir Hopson; his cousin who was more like a big brother to him, Jeremy Puckett (Jamie Puckett), their children, Amelia Puckett and Luke Puckett; close cousins, Dakota Lawrence and son Milo of Princeton, Jasmine Holloway of Hopkinsville, Crystal “Crissi” Mays Sinkfield of Michigan, Jami Mays of Atlanta, GA, Erin “Boogie” Jackson of Tennessee and Alicia “Keddie” Johnson of Tennessee; one uncle, Trevor Holloway of Indiana; grandfather, Namon Atchison of Eddyville; several sisters and brother in Nevada; many additional living relatives in Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, and Nevada as well as several special friends close to heart who loved him just as much.
Bubba was preceded in death by his grandmother Ruthie Lee Atchison, his papaw Jesse Cain, his aunt Ruthie, and his uncle’s Tommy James and Don Coggins.
Family and friends meant everything to Bubba. Their love and support enriched his life and brought him immense happiness. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A visitation service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Morgan’s Funeral Home. Morgan’s Funeral Home is in in charge of the arrangements.
On Saturday, April 13, 2024, a sunset ceremony and Celebration of his Life will be held in the garden behind his childhood home in Princeton beginning at 5:00 pm. This is a private event for close friends and family.
In honoring Bubba’s memory, let us cherish the moments shared together and keep alive the love he spread to all those around him. Rest peacefully knowing that you were loved beyond measure and that your legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew you.
