Drivers need to be aware the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet anticipates ongoing work zone construction and long-term maintenance activities at locations along Interstate 69 and Interstate 24 this week.
In Caldwell County, crews will be conducting brush removal along I-69 between the 79 and 82 mile markers all week. Motorists on US 62 should look for flaggers on Tuesday as crews conduct ditching operations. On Wednesday, crews will be performing bank work on KY 139 between the 9.5 and 10.5 mile markers with flaggers on the scene. Thursday and Friday crews will be repairing potholes on various roads around the county.
In addition, work zone lane restrictions for eastbound traffic on I-24 include several locations from the 67 to 64-mile marker in Trigg County and from the 52 to 49-mile marker in Lyon County on Tuesday. A contractor will repair concrete pavement at several locations. All traffic will initially move to the left-hand or passing lane. Once work is completed on the eastbound lanes, the contractor will move to the westbound lanes for additional concrete repairs.
Drivers should use caution in these areas.
