Marshalls in Murray (Google Maps)
There will be a hiring event next week for a major retailer preparing to open a new store in Princeton.
As previously reported by WPKY’s News Edge, Marshalls will be located on U.S. 62 West in the building between Rulers and Tractor Supply.
Planning Commission Administrator Jenny Clark announced on Thursday that Marshall’s will be holding a job fair at the Princeton Tourist Welcome Center April 17-20, from 10 am until 7 pm. You can also apply online at TJX.com.
Marshalls is a retail store specializing in discounted brand-name items, including accessories, shoes, and housewares.
According to Marshalls, the discount retail store was initially established as an Army & Navy store in 1956. It was acquired by TJX in 1995 and now has more than 1,040 stores spanning 43 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
Currently, Marshalls has one store in Kentucky located in Murray, with other stores in Evansville, Indiana and Tennessee, including Clarksville.
TJX Companies, Inc. also owns T.J. Maxx, HomeGoods, Sierra, and HomeSense. At the end of 2023, the company reported it had over 4,800 stores, spanning nine countries and three continents, including six branded e-commerce sites located worldwide.
