Adams Breezy Hill Farm is now one step closer to being annexed into the City of Princeton following action by the City Council at Monday night’s meeting.
At the request of Adams Breezy Hill Farm for annexation into the city, City Attorney Todd Wetzel introduced the first reading of the annexation ordinance, encompassing around 11 acres of property.
click to download audioThis decision comes after receiving unanimous approval from the Caldwell County Fiscal Court at its meeting last week, as the city must obtain approval from the county before moving forward with the business’s request for annexation.
Before the ordinance was read on Monday night, Planning Commission Administrator Jenny Clark explained that she has been collaborating with the owners of Adams Breezy Hill Farm to secure annexation.
In unfinished business, the city council endorsed Mayor Brock Thomas’ recommendation to sell a surplus truck and equipment to the county.
During committee and department reports, Princeton Police Chief Chris King announced a new hire starting next month.

Furthermore, Chief King acknowledged the county’s 911 dispatchers during National Telecommunicators Week this week, highlighting their exceptional work as the unsung heroes behind the scenes.
In other reports, Caldwell County Animal Shelter Director and Animal Control Officer Kevin Lane informed the council that they were “blessed” to have 10 dogs placed in rescue last week. Lane also mentioned plans to install signs in response to recent incidents of individuals walking their dogs in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
