Law enforcement is looking for an inmate who ran from the Caldwell County Jail while awaiting to be processed Friday afternoon.

According to Princeton Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison, officers responded to the jail around 5:10 Friday afternoon and were advised that 30-year old Gregory Munsell, of Princeton, had been furloughed to a rehab/treatment facility and was to report to jail upon completion or termination from the facility. He says Munsell arrived at the jail and was waiting to be processed when he ran out the front door and did not return.

Allison says a warrant has been requested for Munsell charging him with second-degree escape.

Munsell was last seen wearing a long-sleeved gray shirt and black shorts. Police say he is not believed to be armed or dangerous.

If anyone knows Munsell’s current location, police ask that you notify Central Dispatch at (270) 365-2041 or the Princeton Police Department at (270) 365-4657.
