A Princeton man was charged with assaulting a police officer Friday night.
Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison says 32-year old Jacob Brown was taken into custody at the Circle K at 8:30 pm after he was observed by police operating a motorcycle on West Legion Street with a known suspended operator’s license.
According to police, Brown resisted officers while being detained and struck one of the officers when he was being escorted into the jail.
Brown was charged with resisting arrest, assault of a police officer, operating on a suspended license, and no motorcycle license. He was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
