Residents of Caldwell County will have a new EMS/Ambulance Service beginning on July 1st as the result of a vote by the Caldwell County Fiscal Court on Tuesday morning.
After eight years of contracting with ComCare for ambulance services, Caldwell County Judge-executive Kota Young said the county request bids for Emergency Medical Services for the coming year. During Tuesday’s meeting, the fiscal court accepted the lone bid from AmeriPro EMS.

click to download audioIn other business, the fiscal court also approved the appointment of four members to the newly formed Review Board. Judge Young explained those appointments.
click to download audioFiscal Court also approved the recommendation from Charlotte Cotton with the secondary road program for 2025. She recommended the paving of Highway 903 from the Lyon County line to Highway 515; Highway 70 to Highway 293 close to Short 70; and Highway 128 from Highway 91 to 2068 Rock Springs Road. The court also voted to keep the flex money.
Fiscal court voted to request bids for the county road department supplies and accept the employee insurance packages. They next moved into a public budget workshop for the fiscal year 24-25.
The next meeting of the Caldwell County Fiscal Court will be Tuesday morning May 28th at 9:00 am in the Caldwell County Courthouse.
