Drug Trafficking Indictments Returned by Caldwell Grand Jury

The Caldwell County grand jury returned two indictments for drug trafficking and two others for drug possession during its recent session.

45-year-old Andrew Smothers of Princeton was indicted on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, being a persistent felony offender, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and firearm-enhanced charges of trafficking in marijuana, and trafficking in a controlled substance. The charges are the result of a Princeton Police Department investigation from March 11.

Indicted in the same case was 66-year-old Sheryl Ward on charges of trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and three counts of possession of a controlled substance.

31-year-old Stephen Adamson of Princeton was indicted on charges of first-degree promoting contraband, possession of marijuana, and operating on a suspended license, the result of a March 10 traffic stop and arrest by the Princeton Police Department.

32-year-old Jeffrey Redd of Princeton was indicted on a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

51-year-old Tyrone Harbin was indicted on charges of promoting contraband, possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and being a persistent felony offender. The charges are the result of a February 27 investigation by the Princeton Police Department.

A no-true bill was returned on Tyrone Harbin for violation of conditions of release with the charge dismissed.
