Mediacom Communications officials have announced the company is making significant speed enhancements to several of its most popular Xtream Internet services.

Beginning May 17, new and existing customers will have advantage of two major changes:

⦁ Xtream Internet 100 will become Xtream Internet 250 – jumping from 100 Mbps down to 250 Mbps down, a 150% increase
⦁And Xtream Internet 300 will become Xtream Internet 500 – where speeds climb from 300 Mbps down to 500 Mbps down, a 67% increase

Mediacom is also replacing its Connect2Compete Plus service with a new and improved low-cost broadband plan called “Xtream Connect,” which offers speeds of 100 Mbps down by 20 Mbps up. It’s priced at just $14.99 per month plus modem rental, if necessary, and it provides qualifying households an affordable pathway to the internet.

Furthermore, Mediacom is further enhancing this program by allowing enrolled customers to add landline phone service for just $5 per month.

Xtream Connect is available to any household in Mediacom’s service territory that participates in the National School Lunch Program, SNAP, Medicaid, Federal Public Housing Assistance, SSI, WIC or certain other federal programs.

All of the enhanced plans announced are in addition to the Xtream 1 Gig Unlimited services Mediacom offers across its national fiber-rich network, and the Xtream 1 Gig Symmetrical Unlimited and Xtream 2 Gig Unlimited services the company is continuing to launch in a growing number of markets.
