Douglas “Nubbin” Durard, age 79, of Fredonia, Kentucky, passed away on May 18, 2024.
Born on October 12, 1944, to Howard and Magdeline Calendar Durard, Nubbin grew up with a passion for horses, dedicating his life to horse training, trading, and riding. His greatest passion was his love for the Lord and his dedication to teaching and spreading the word of the Lord.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Phyllis “Sissy” Prowell Durard of Fredonia; his son, Dub Durard of Fredonia; several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shawn Durard, and his parents.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Forby, Bro. Benny Chandler and Bro. Ken Cummins officiating. Burial will follow at Rowland Cemetery.
