Several students were honored for their recent achievements during the Caldwell County school board meeting held at the high school Monday night.
Superintendent Dr. Jeremy Roach presented a Certificate of Excellence to Ryan Hammett.
He also presented a Certificate of Excellence to Marissa Smith.
Some FBLA students were also recognized.

Roach also recognized a bunch of students who were apart of the high school’s spring musical, “Annie Jr.”

In addition, Roach stated that he attended the play and was very impressed. Those in attendance were also shown a short video featuring a small portion of the musical.
Members of the Welding Fabrication Team who placed 3rd in the State Skills USA Leadership Conference.

And last but not least, school board Chair Tim Kennaday presented a plaque to student board member Corbin Nichols, who was sworn in June 2023 and will graduate high school this week.

Along with the plaque, Nichols received a graduation gift from the board. He said it’s been a honor and pleasure for him to serve as a student member of the Caldwell County school board.
