Governor Andy Beshear announced late Monday afternoon that a Caldwell County man died in the wake of Sunday’s storms.
He said the 54-year old died from a heart attack while cutting trees.
The man who died has not been identified by state or local officials.
The governor also reported there were four confirmed fatalities related to the storms on Sunday. The deaths occurred in the city of Louisville as well as Harden, Hopkins and Mercer counties.
On Monday, Governor Beshear traveled to the hardest impacted areas in Hopkins and Muhlenberg counties to view storm damage and speak with local officials and family members.
