Three Princeton Residents Injured in Saturday Head-on Collision

accident-2

Three people were taken to the hospital after a head-on collision on Hopkinsville Street over the weekend.

Princeton Police Chief Chris King reports officers responded to the wreck in the 1400 block of Hopkinsville Street around 9:50 Saturday night.

According to the investigation, 59-year old Candace Martin of Princeton was southbound on Hopkinsville Street when her SUV struck a fallen tree in the road due to high winds. Chief King says Martin’s vehicle then veered into the northbound lane and struck another SUV head-on driven by 47-year old Kerry Ramsey of Princeton.

Martin, Ramsey and a passenger in Ramsey’s vehicle, 18-year old Evelyn Ramsey of Princeton, were transported by Caldwell County EMS to the emergency room at Caldwell Medical Center for what police say were non-life threatening injuries.

Officers were assisted at the scene by the Princeton Fire Department.
