Lois Holt, 95, of Paducah

Lois Reginald Holt, age 95, of Paducah, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born September 29, 1928 in Lyon County, KY, Lois was the son of Taft and Josephine Holt and was married for 61 years to his wife, Sally Belle Pendergrass Holt.

He served his country through the Korean War as a corporal in the United States Marine Corp. Lois retired in 1986 as a pipe fitter from B.F. Goodrich Chemical Plant in Calvert City, KY. He also was formerly employed at National Carbide in Calvert City and ended his working career as a pipe fitter from Local 407 out of Jackson, TN. He was a former member of the Woodmen of the World and was a Mason. Lois was a member of Heartland Worship Center in Paducah.

Survivors include his wife, Sally; two daughters, Linda Kennedy of Metropolis, IL, Rhonda (Joe) Henry of Boonville, IN; three grandchildren, Sarah Kennedy of Ann Arbor, MI, Katie (Matt) Settle of Marion, IL, Joseph Henry of Boonville, IN; one sister, Ida (Buster) Allgood of Calvert City; one brother, Jimmy (Kay) Holt of Boaz, KY; one sister-in-law, Bobbie Holt of Benton; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Holt and son-in-law, Patrick Kennedy.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Rolling Hills Cemetery in Eddyville with Rev. Barry Summerville officiating. Military honors will be conducted.
