Martha “Sissy” Scott, 90, of Princeton

Martha Sue “Sissy” Gresham Scott, age 90, of Princeton, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Caldwell Medical Center Princeton.

Sissy was born on November 12, 1933, in Princeton, KY to the late William T. and Grace Turpin Gresham. A proud graduate of Butler High School’s class of 1952, Sissy’s commitment to her community began early and continued throughout her life. Her professional journey as a dental assistant spanned an impressive 52 years, during which she worked alongside Dr. Robert Gordon and Dr. Frank Moller. Her gentle touch and reassuring presence made her a favorite among patients and colleagues alike. Sissy’s passion for service extended far beyond her professional life. She was a cherished member of the First Baptist Church in Princeton, where she contributed her time and talents to the Shoebox Ministry. Her love for children shone brightly as she cared for the little ones in the church nursery, a role she fulfilled with joy and boundless energy for many years. Her patriotism was evident to all who knew her, as she loved all things that celebrated her country. Sissy’s Sundays were often spent traversing the beautiful landscapes of Kentucky, where she pursued her hobby of collecting and refinishing antique furniture.

Survivors include two daughters, LeAnn (Dallas) Klineline of Bowling Green, KY, Shelli Scott of Scottsville, KY; one sister, Sandra G. Brown (Sandy) of Princeton, KY; one brother, William J. Gresham of Lexington, KY; one granddaughter, Lindsay Reed; two great-grandchildren, Jack and Liam Reed; several nieces and one nephew; several great nieces and nephews.

No visitation will be held.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Princeton.
