Caldwell Animal Shelter Celebrates Successful Saturday Adoption Event

Officials at the Caldwell County Animal Shelter are pleased with the success of their Father’s Day adoption event on Saturday, where a couple of dogs found new homes and substantial funds were raised.

Director and Animal Control Officer Kevin Lane informed WPKY’s News Edge that two dogs were adopted during the event.

click to download audioHe also expressed his gratitude to James Ward for two planter boxes for the silent auction and for the additional expected contributions.

click to download audioAccording to Lane, the animal shelter has received approximately 25 orders for the t-shirts so far that are being sold to raise funds. He mentioned that they will continue to accept orders until the end of the month and reminded the community of the t-shirt prices with proceeds going to the animal shelter.

click to download audioWith two dogs finding homes at Saturday’s event, Lane said the shelter now has 34 dogs available for adoption. Lane also noted that B.J. was fostered on Saturday and is hopeful that he will be fully adopted this week.

The Father’s Day adoption event on Saturday took place at Big Springs Park in Princeton.
