KYTC to Close Section of US 60 West of Marion on Tuesday

Drivers in Crittenden County need to be aware the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to close a section of U.S. 60 West of Marion on Tuesday to repair a cross drain.

District 1 spokesman Keith Todd says U.S. 60 will be closed between KY 297 and KY 1168/Crittenden Springs Road near the Crittenden-Livingston Water Tower atop Moore Hill to repair a cross drain.

He says the road at this site is expected to close promptly at 6:30 Tuesday morning. It is expected to reopen to traffic around 2:00 on Tuesday afternoon.

There will be no marked detour.

Motorists are asked to use the following detour routes:

U.S. 60 Westbound Suggested Detour
KY 1668, to KY 135, to KY 723, to KY 297

U.S. 60 Eastbound Suggested Detour
KY 297, to KY 723, to KY 135, and to KY 1668

Todd says commercial trucks should seek a route appropriate to weight.
