At Monday night’s meeting, Princeton City Council received reports from various departments and committees, including the announcements of a longtime city employee’s upcoming retirement and the departure of a police officer.
Mayor Brock Thomas said Public Works Director David Sullenger will be retiring in the near future.

Police Chief Chris King announced that Sergeant Sam Akin has left the Princeton Police Department to pursue another job opportunity.

Planning Commission Coordinator Jenny Clark announced that Arby’s is conducting interviews this week at its new restaurant on US 62 West, located next to T-Mobile.

Caldwell County Animal Shelter Director and Animal Control Officer Kevin Lane reminded residents about the city’s leash ordinance.
