A Louisville man was charged with drug trafficking after he was arrested in Princeton Tuesday morning.
According to Princeton Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison, officers went to a residence near the 500 block of Varmintrace Road around 10:15 to attempt to serve an active arrest warrant. While at the residence, officers reportedly found 44-year old Jason Thomas hiding in a closet. Allison said a records check indicated Thomas had an active Kentucky parole violation warrant.
When Thomas was taken into custody on the warrant, officers said he was also found in possession of several baggies of suspected methamphetamine and a set of scales.
Thomas was charged with trafficking meth second offense and resisting arrest. He was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
