Mary Lee Ward Burkhart, age 76, of Princeton, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at her home.
Mary Lee was born on September 8, 2024, in Caldwell County to the late James Edward Sr. and Mary Elois Thomas Ward. Mary Lee wore many hats in life, from being a beautician, a cook at Outwood in Dawson Springs, to a homemaker. Mary Lee was a member of the Homemakers Club and had received her fifteen-year perfect attendance pin. She loved watching UK Men’s Basketball and working word searches. Mary Lee served with HR Ministries in various capacities and was a member of Beulah Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Gayla (Richie) Fluaitt of Princeton, and Kim McGlone of Princeton; sister, Martha Deboe of Caldwell County; brothers, Roger (Sharon) Ward of Fredonia, and Tom (Sandy) Ward of Princeton; one grandchild, Raelynn Martel; sister in-laws, Heather Ward of Caldwell County, Lisa McConnaghey of Illinois, and Laurie Churkey of Illinois; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Mary Lee is preceded in death by her two daughters, Sara and Sandra Burkhart; two brothers, James Edward Ward Jr. and Hugh Ward.

Visitation for Mary Lee Burkhart will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at 2:30 PM at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Bro Ryan Scott and Bro Duane Burden officiating. Burial will follow in Lance Nichols Cemetery in Caldwell County.
