A Princeton man faces charges of assault and strangulation after an altercation at Highland Homes on Wednesday night.
Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison reports officers responded to Highland Homes shortly before 8:30 p.m. for a complaint of a male resident who had assaulted two other residents.
He says 27-year old James C. Johnson, Jr. was taken into custody after an investigation revealed one of the victims had marks on her neck. The victim reportedly told officers that Johnson had choked her during the altercation.
Johnson was charged with fourth-degree assault and first-degree strangulation. He was booked into the Caldwell County Jail.
