An Eddyville woman was taken to a hospital after a two-vehicle wreck in Lyon County last week.
Sheriff Brent White reports deputies responded to the wreck around 6:45 Monday night, June 24, at the intersection of U.S. 62, U.S. 641, and KY 3305.
He said the investigation revealed a vehicle driven by 17-year-old Jacob Matchen of Eddyville was traveling eastbound on U.S. 62 when he disregarded a traffic control device and collided in the intersection with a northbound SUV driven by 54-year-old Billy Coursey of Eddyville.
A passenger in Coursey’s vehicle, 49-year-old Kathy Coursey was reportedly injured and had to be cut out of the vehicle by the Eddyville Fire Department. She was transported by Lyon County EMS to Baptist Health-Paducah for evaluation of her injuries. Sheriff White says the two drivers declined medical transport.
