If you travel KY 126 between Cerulean and KY 139/Cadiz Road, you will need to find an alternate route beginning Monday as a contractor with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to demolish and replace the Burns Creek Bridge in Caldwell County.
According to state transportation officials, Scott and Murphy will close the KY 126 bridge over Burns Creek, to begin demolition on Monday. The bridge work is expected to be completed in October.
Message boards warning of the impending closure have already been placed on the road. There is a marked detour in place using KY 276/Blackhawk Road, KY 139/Cadiz Road, and KY 514.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and personnel are along the road near traffic flow.
