Princeton-Caldwell County Airport Board Continues To Make Upgrades

The Princeton-Caldwell County Airport Board is actively working to enhance the facility with ongoing improvements.

During Monday night’s Princeton City Council meeting, councilman and airport board member Jim Joiner updated the council on the airport board’s June 26 meeting, where they voted to purchase new furniture to replace the aging pieces.

According to Joiner, the local airport saw over 2,000 visits in 2023 and more than 800 visits in the first half of this year.

He mentioned that the board also voted to purchase a $2,700 camera to help with the overall security and better understand the airport’s usage.

Joiner also mentioned that the board has received bids for the construction of the t-hangars, but none have been awarded as of Monday night’s meeting. He noted that he would provide an update on the awarded bid at the next Princeton City Council meeting.
