In a recent Hopkinsville celebration at the Alhambra Theatre, Leadership West Kentucky — part of the West Kentucky Regional Chamber Alliance — graduated its second-ever class of almost 30 professionals, all of which called this region home.

For Christian County: Billy Bingham with United Southern Bank, Traci Mason-Perry with Forcht Broadcasting, and Landan Stallons with Planters Bank Inc.
For Crittenden County: Rose Dempsey with Farmers Bank & Trust Company, and Rebecca Dunn with Atrium Living Centers.
For Lyon County: Amanda Crouch with the Lake Barkley Chamber of Commerce, and Robin Hurst with Lyon County Schools.
And for Trigg County: John David Fourqurean with Farm Credit Mid America, and Todd Wallace with ATPCO.
Others with ties to south western Kentucky: Brooke Wiles with FNB Bank Inc., and Carrie McGinnis with Murray State University.
Looking to build a network of informed citizens, participants had to live or work within the alliance counties, also including Ballard, Calloway, Carlisle, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Livingston, Marshall and McCracken.
In its second year, all 14 counties had representation in the program, which focused on topics like transportation, education, economic development, quality of life, advocacy, agriculture and tourism.
It also highlighted the needs for I-69 completion, work on the Olmsted Lock and Dam, the I-169 designation, a repealing of the bank franchise tax, a repealing of non-profit sales tax, and the exemption of sales tax on fishing tournament entry fees and boat ramp fees.

Carlisle: Allison Rhodes with Carlisle Schools/FRYSC.
Fulton: Will Rice with The Citizens Bank.
Graves: Lee Boyd with Republic Services, Ashley Parrott with Baptist Health Medical Group — Paducah.
Hickman: Jon Case with Clinton Bank.
Livingston: Crissy Carter with Livingston Hospital and Rex Roberts with Pine Bluff Materials.
Marshall: Josh Tubbs with Tennessee Valley Authority and Stacey Young with Baptist Health Paducah.
And representing Multiple Counties: Judge Chris McNeill with the Kentucky Court of Appeals.
