A Princeton woman was taken to a local hospital after a three-vehicle wreck on Marion Road last week.

Caldwell County Sheriff Don Weedman reports that a wreck occurred at the intersection of Red Bud Trail shortly after 10:15 Wednesday night. He says the accident involved 44-year-old Jason Bruce of Madisonville, who, along with his 4-year-old son, was backing out from Red Bud Trail onto KY 91/Marion Road after experiencing issues with his trailer, which was loaded with another vehicle. He says 84-year-old Lester Watson of Princeton was traveling northbound on Marion Road when he collided with the trailer that was in his lane. At the same time, a third vehicle driven by 17-year-old Logan Brown of Princeton, with his passenger, 16-year-old Sarah Scott of Princeton, was traveling southbound on Marion Road and also struck the trailer in his path.

According to Sheriff Weedman, a passenger in Watson’s vehicle, 86-year old JoAnn Dalton was transported by AmeriPro EMS to the emergency room at Caldwell Medical Center for treatment.

Sheriff Weedman says all parties were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision; however, he noted Bruce’s trailer was not properly illuminated.

The crash was investigated by Chief Deputy Stacey Blackburn who was assisted on the scene by Caldwell Fire/Rescue and Caldwell County Emergency Management.
