An Eddyville man was killed in a two-vehicle wreck on Interstate 24 in Lyon County Monday afternoon.
According to state police, a preliminary investigation revealed that 54-year old Brent Burban was traveling eastbound on I-24 when, for reasons still under investigation, his vehicle crossed the median into the westbound lanes near the 42 mile-marker and collided with a van driven by 28-year old Evan Ralph of Ellicott City, Maryland.
Police say Burban was pronounced dead at the scene and Ralph was uninjured in the collision.
Kentucky State Police Post 1 is continuing to investigate the fatal wreck.
