Funeral services for 73-year-old Susan Edds, of Hopkinsville, will be 1 PM Tuesday, July 16, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
Visitation will be from 11 AM until the funeral hour.
Survivors include:
Her husband of 53 years, Aretis Edds, of Hopkinsville;
Her daughters, Kelly Crick and her husband, Chris, of Crofton, and Cindy Parker and her husband, Gary, Jr., of Hopkinsville;
Five grandchildren, Josh Parker, Joseph Parker, Dylan Crick, Bailey Crick and Kyle Hester;
And seven great grandchildren.
Brother Chris Crick is officiating.
She died of natural causes July 10, 2024, at her home.
She was born on July 14, 1950, in Princeton, the daughter of late Otis and Nancy Wring Darnell. Susan worked at Flynns for 17 years and Morning Side Assisted Living and was a homemaker.
She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church and the Lyons Club.
She was preceded in death by her son, Steven Anthony Edds in 1972 and an unborn baby; her brother, Wayne Darnell; her sister, Patricia Childress.
