During a June City Council meeting, Joiner said the board had voted to purchase new furniture to replace the aging pieces, and a $2,700 camera to help with overall security and to better understand the airport’s usage.

According to Joiner, the local airport saw over 2,000 visits in 2023 and more than 800 visits in the first half of this year.
