Caldwell School Board Updated on Student Online Registration Status

As the first day of classes is set to begin in a few weeks at Caldwell County Public Schools, online registration is ongoing with less than 65-percent of students registered in the district so far.

Director of Pupil Personnel Laura White provided an update on the status of online registration at Monday night’s school board meeting. Currently, she said they have just north of 60% of students who have registered for the upcoming school year.

click to download audioIf students are not registered, White emphasized they will not be able to start school.

click to download audioShe emphasized that there be no excuse for a student not to be registered, as there will be ample opportunities to assist parents in completing the process.

click to download audioWhite pointed out that the online registration includes sections for a child’s dietary restrictions, new sports participation and medical records information.

click to download audioAnother thing they are doing online this year, according to White, is the Household Income Form.

click to download audioSuperintendent Dr. Jeremy Roach also noted supply lists would be posted on the school district’s social media accounts.

click to download audioAdditionally, White mentioned copies of all the supply lists will be available at the events they will be attending.

The first day of school for students is Wednesday, August 14.
