Joyce Baker Beck, age 88, of Princeton, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Rivers Bend Retirement Community in Kuttawa.
Joyce was born on March 18, 1936 in Princeton, KY to the late Wilford “Doc” and Isabell Guess Baker. Joyce worked for many years as a beautician at “Let’s Roll” in Princeton. She enjoyed flowers, traveling and going to visit others. Joyce loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. She was a very talented cook and enjoyed reading new and sharing old recipes. Joyce was a member of First Baptist Church in Fredonia.
Survivors include two daughters, Tam Travis (James Schamp) of Lyon County and Michele (Mark) Blackburn of Princeton, KY; son, Kyle Beck of Lexington, KY; four grandchildren, Morgan (Bryan) Cortner, Shelby Blackburn (Clint), Chandler Blackburn, Taylor (Eli) Pepper; two great-grandchildren, Kye and Nolan Cortner; niece and nephew, Stacy (Joe) Brantley and Barry Baker.
In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her grandson, Nolan Markus Blackburn; brother Kenneth Baker.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
Graveside services will follow at 2:30 PM at New Bethel Cemetery in Lyon County.
