Code Enforcement Awaits Engineer’s Assessment of Downtown Buildings’ Structural Integrity

Princeton Code Enforcement is taking proactive steps to address the structural integrity of several aging buildings in the downtown area.

At Monday night’s city council meeting, Code Enforcement Alan Getz reported that he had reached out to an engineer in Owensboro last week to look into some concerns.

click to download audioHe noted that he remains in contact with the engineer to iron out some details, but the engineer’s busy schedule has so far prevented a visit to Princeton. Getz expressed hope that the engineer will be able to come to Princeton within the next couple of weeks to provide a synopsis of what actions the city may need to take regarding the buildings.
