Farmers Bank, Princeton Art Guild to Celebrate 125th Anniversary with Community Art Show

The Princeton Art Guild and Farmers Bank are joining forces to celebrate the bank’s 125th anniversary with a Community Art Show.

This special event, themed “Celebrating 125 Years of Unique: Art, Community, and Legacy,” invites citizens to showcase their artistic talents.

Art Guild Director Melissa Peek expressed her excitement about this opportunity.

click to download audioTiffany Massey, Human Resources and Marketing Director at Farmers Bank shared that the bank has been celebrating its 125th anniversary throughout the year. She emphasized the bank’s pride in being an integral part of the community. As part of the celebration, she said they will be utilizing the Charles Alvin Lisanby Art Gallery to showcase the artistic talents within the community.

click to download audioMassey mentioned that they have provided some ideas for the art show to inspire people’s imaginations, aligning with the bank’s tagline, “Live Unique, Bank Unique.” She said some of the ideas for artwork include: Unique Perspectives, Historical moments, Community Spirit, Future Visions, and individual Uniqueness.

click to download audioShe stated that the timeframe for dropping off artwork is from August 27th to August 30th.

click to download audioThere will be cash prizes awarded to Best in Show, a Young Artist Award, and a People’s Choice Award.

The exhibit dates are September 5th – October 25th at the Princeton Art Guild.

Massey is collaborating with Debbie French to organize workshops for children from kindergarten to 8th grade, which she will promote soon. In addition, Massey, French, and TyQuan Bumphus will be at Dotson Days on Friday from 4 PM to 5 PM with art supplies to assist kids who want to work on their masterpieces. Additional times will be scheduled for children to develop their artwork and submit it.

Furthermore, Massey told WPKY’s News Edge that a special artist reception will be held at the Black Patch Heritage Festival on September 7th, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM, at the Princeton Art Guild.
