According to officials from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, I-24 westbound is blocked by a crash at the 32 mile marker in Livingston County.

The multi-vehicle incident is immediately east of the KY 453 Grand Rivers Exit 31 interchange, and a Kentucky State Police crash reconstruction investigator is on site.

The estimated duration of this delay is 12 hours, or approximately 1:30 AM.

All westbound I-24 traffic is being detoured off at the U.S. 62 Eddyville-Kuttawa Exit 40 interchange, to follow U.S. 62 West to Exit 27 at Calvert City.

To assist emergency response personnel, motorists should remain on U.S. 62 to the Exit 27 interchange.

Another further special request is that KYTC officials are asking westbound motorists to consider detouring at the U.S. 68 Cadiz Exit 65 interchange to take U.S. 68 West through Aurora to Draffenville, then take I-69 North to return to I-24.

This will help to reduce the traffic on the main detour.

This section of I-24 in question also carries I-69 traffic.
