An Eddyville woman was charged with her second DUI after a single-vehicle wreck in Lyon County last week.
Lyon County Sheriff Brent White was dispatched to the wreck on KY 818 North near the intersection of KY 293 around 7:15 Wednesday morning. He says an investigation determined that the driver, 49-year old Leslie Stovall had failed to negotiate a curve, causing the vehicle to run off the road and collide with a concrete culvert headwall. Stovall reportedly fled the scene prior to the sheriff’s arrival.
According to Sheriff White, Stovall was located on Sparrow Court near Old Eddyville where she was found to be under the influence and taken into custody.
Stovall was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failure of owner to maintain required insurance – 2nd offense, and DUI – 2nd offense. She was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
