A Princeton man was transported to the hospital after his lawnmower was hit by a pickup truck Sunday night.
Princeton Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison reports that officers responded to the 900 block of Varmintrace Road around 8:50 Sunday night where an investigation revealed that 24-year old Austin Davis of Princeton was driving a pickup truck west on Varmintrace Road when he collided with the lawnmower pulling a trailer. He says 49-year old Robert Ford was driving the lawnmower when it was struck in the rear by the truck.
According to Allison, Davis told officers that he could not see the lawnmower due to not having running lights on the lawnmower or trailer.
Ford was transported by ambulance to Caldwell County Hospital for possible injuries. He was also issued a citation for operating on a suspended license, no registration plates, no insurance, no tail lights, no windshield, no brake lights, and one headlight.
