Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 1 Public Information Officer Keith Todd will work his last day on Wednesday.

After a 20-year career, Todd is entering retirement. Speaking with Your News Edge, he said his career has featured numerous highlights, including his first few months on the job and a significant snowfall that blanketed western Kentucky during Christmas week of 2004.

Other moments that stick out in his mind, include the construction of the Eggners Ferry Bridge and the EF-4 tornado that impacted Mayfield in December 2021.

Todd added he thought when accepting the job, it would only be about filling potholes and fixing roads.

Todd said he expects to take a few months off before jumping back into a job.

Todd lives in Marion with his wife Beth. In recent years, he has only worked on District 1 projects, which include those in Ballard, Calloway, Carlisle, Crittenden, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Livingston, Lyon, Marshall, McCracken, and Trigg Counties.
