Caldwell County native Emma Lou Coleman Kelly Tabor has died. She was 86.
According to Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville, Tabor, the daughter of the late Monroe Coleman and Vesta Coleman who established the Coleman Shoe Shop in Princeton, passed away Saturday afternoon at her Hopkinsville residence.
Tabor formerly worked at First City Bank in the Trust Department. Additionally, she reportedly had a keen interest in genealogy, which led her to research and author books on the subject for both sides of her family. She was recognized by the Kentucky Genealogical Society for her contribution to the preservation of historical records in Caldwell County and was presented with a regional award for outstanding achievement.
A memorial service will be held Friday afternoon at Dogwood Funerals & Cremations. For complete funeral arrangements, click here.
