Preparations in Full Swing for Annual Black Patch Heritage Festival

As the community recently celebrated Dotson Days in Princeton, another event celebrating a part of Caldwell County’s history is also in the works – the annual Black Patch Heritage Festival coming up in September.

Roy Gene Rogers, a member of the Princeton Optimist Club, tells WPKY’s News Edge that the annual parade will kick off the festival on Friday, September 6.

click to download audioOn Saturday morning, the day will kick off with the annual breakfast, followed by a full schedule of family fun activities in downtown Princeton.

click to download audioAdditionally, Rogers shared that the Butler Caldwell County Alumni Association will be holding a meeting at the Butler Gym, with more details to be released soon. He also mentioned that the Caldwell County Soccer Alumni will have a game at the soccer field on Saturday evening.

The Black Patch Heritage Festival on Saturday, September 7, will take place from 8 AM until 9 PM in downtown Princeton.
