Joyce Patton, age 83, of Eddyville, passed away on August 19, 2024, at her home.
Joyce was born September 21, 1940, to the late J.B. and Lois Babb Carner. She was a member of Fredonia First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Kevin (Kathy) Patton of Henderson, KY, Nolan (Hilary) Patton of Kalamazoo, MI, Dustin (Nichole) Patton of Eddyville; sisters, Jane Thorpe of Eddyville and June (Teddy) Holt of Eddyville; brothers, Jimmy (Rose) Carner of Fredonia, Dale (Sherry) Carner of Princeton; grandchildren, John Patton, Sarah Patton, Scarlett Patton, Oliver Patton, Leopold Patton, Eve Patton, Emily Murphy and Christian Patton; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gilford Hobson Patton; son, Kent Patton; sister, Sue Kornegay; brother, Ronnie Carner.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Lakeland Funeral Home and from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Lakeland Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Lakeland Funeral Home with Bro. Presley Lamm officiating. Burial will follow at New Bethel Cemetery in Lyon County.
