Clay Farless was awarded a diploma on August 9 during the commencement exercises of the 79th session of the prestigious Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Additionally, Marketing Director Tiffany Massey at Farmers Bank in Princeton said he received a Certificate of Executive Leadership from the Wisconsin School of Business Center for Professional and Executive Development for completing the rigorous GSB leadership curriculum.

According to Massey, the Graduate School of Banking, sponsored by state bankers associations from across the central United States and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, was established in 1945 to provide bankers advanced study and research opportunities in banking, economics, and leadership. She says instruction at the school occurs during two-week resident sessions over three consecutive summers, along with comprehensive study between these summer sessions. The curriculum is designed to address the strategic management issues faced by banking executives and professionals in the financial services industry.

The Graduate School of Banking enrolls approximately 600 professionals from the U.S. and abroad each year. The school’s faculty is comprised of over 85 esteemed academicians, economists, government officials, and industry professionals.
