Larry Tabor, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2024, in Paducah, KY. He was born on May 10, 1959, in Salem, KY
Larry spent his professional life as a dedicated engineer on a towboat, a career that showcased his love for the water and his commitment to hard work. . An avid fisherman, Larry found solace and excitement in the serenity of the lakes and rivers that he so loved. The roar of a motorcycle engine was music to his ears, and he often took to the open road to feel the freedom it offered.
A man of the earth, Larry found a special kind of peace in his garden, nurturing plants. His musical talent was another source of joy, as he played the guitar
He leaves behind a loving family, including his son Everett Tabor of Princeton, KY; two grandchildren and his sisters, Thelma Jones of Fredonia, KY, and Marilyn Wynn of Hopkinsville, KY. Larry’s life was further enriched by the companionship of his special friend, Lucinda Tabor of Paducah, KY. and his several nieces and nephews
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Lee Everett Tabor, his mother, Nellie Hamby Wilson; sisters Rita Tyrie and Bonnie West; brothers Leon and Coy Tabor; and step-father Hubert Wilson.
Burial will be in the Friendship Cemetery in Lyon County.
All services will be private.
