Princeton City Council Presented Airport & Animal Shelter Updates

The Princeton City Council heard updates from the airport board and the animal shelter at Monday night’s meeting.

Projects at the Princeton-Caldwell County Airport are moving forward, according to board member and Councilman Jim Joiner. He provided an update from the Airport Board’s meeting earlier this month, and mentioned that the local airport now has a new weather addition for pilots.

He noted that things are gradually moving along to get funding for the construction of the TB&T line.

click to download audioAccording to Joiner, they anticipate completing all of the foundational work this fall, allowing construction of the building to commence as soon as it arrives, likely around March.

Meanwhile, Kevin Lane, the Animal Control Officer and Director at the Caldwell County Animal Shelter shared a story with council members that highlighted one of the reasons behind their work.
