Caldwell County Fiscal Court approved a contract for a new medical provider for inmates at the jail during a special called meeting Wednesday morning.
According to Judge-Executive Kota Young, magistrates approved a contract with the Three C’s — Comprehensive Correctional Care — for a total cost of $102,456, which includes a $10,000 cost pool that if not spent goes back to the Fiscal Court.
At last week’s Fiscal Court meeting, Three C’s President James Wiseman shared with magistrates what his company provides to inmates.

click to download audioIn other action at the meeting, magistrates unanimously approved the purchase of two vehicles for the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office for a total of $84,616.
The next regularly scheduled Caldwell County Fiscal Court meeting will be at 9:00 on Tuesday morning, August 27.
