Martha Sue “Nannie” Pierce, a soul of kindness and love, left this world on August 19, 2024, at the age of 67 in Princeton, KY. Born on June 6, 1957, in Caldwell County, Kentucky.
Martha’s life was enriched by her love for watching Joyce Meyer Ministries, expressing herself through drawing, and her remarkable collection of various items. She was fondly known as “Nannie” and had a love for all who knew her.
Martha’s journey through life was marked by her unwavering devotion to her family and her passions. She is survived by her children, Kelly Yanez of Princeton, Ben Yanez, and Chris Yanez, both of Eddyville. Her spirit lives on through her cherished siblings, Dorothy Creekmur and Tammy Hawkins of Lexington, and her brother, Will Melander of Eddyville. Martha was a beacon of joy for her adored grandchildren, Maddox, Layla, Harper, Kasara, Kindra, Kara, Kevin, Anna, Audrey, and Ava, and she was blessed to see the sparkle of life in her 15 great-grandchildren.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, John Henery Turley and Peggy Boswell McKinney. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Denice Turley and Kimberly Dawn Ficker, her brother, Henry Turley, and one beloved great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Morgan’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hebron Cemetery in Lyon County.
