Kiwanis Club Receives Radio Auction Proceeds, Plans Annual Pancake Breakfast

The regular meeting of the Princeton Kiwanis Club was held Wednesday at noon at Pagliai’s.

The club had two major items of business on the agenda and is making plans for an annual activity for the community. Representatives of the Princeton Optimist Club were in attendance to present the Kiwanis Club with their part of the proceeds from the annual radio auction that was held in June. The two civic organizations have joined together for the past few years to hold the auction in conjunction with WPKY to raise funds for youth activities in the area. Optimist Club member Zeak Jamison spoke on behalf of the Optimist Club in thanking the Kiwanis Club for their support and work in preparing for and working during the auction. He shared the partnership between the clubs has been a good thing for the auction and the community.

Kiwanis Club member Ruth Gray expressed they were glad to join with the Optimist and are ready to put the funds to work for the community.

In other business, the Kiwanis have another annual event planned to be held in a couple of weeks.
