The Princeton Rotary Club met Tuesday at the George Coon Public Library, where they were updated on a recent grant, community programs, and toured the renovated upstairs.
Library Director Nichelle Faughn shared an update regarding a $750,000 Community Development Block Grant aimed at funding an expansion project for the local library.
click to download audioShe mentioned that when they applied for the grant, they included preliminary drawings prepared by an architect. Faughn also highlighted that the planned addition will be multi-functional.
The addition will also include a computer lab connected to a maker space STEM lab, along with a theater-style seating area.

click to download audioFurthermore, Faughn noted that the library is bustling with activity and expressed excitement about the numerous initiatives they have in store for the community. She also informed the Rotarians about the various programs available for both adults and children at the library.
Following Faughn’s presentation, the Rotarians were given a tour of the recent renovations on the library’s second floor.
