Black Patch Book Sale Kicks Off

The Black Patch Book Sale kicked off Saturday morning as part of the beginning of the Black Patch Festival.

The annual book sale is sponsored by the Friends of the Library and will be going on for the rest of the week.

Cheryl Mintz has just begun her term as president of the Friends of the Library and said she had been busy with the opening day for the public.

Robert Davis is a long-time employee of the public library.

click to download audioDavis remembers being at the library before the book sale began. He explained that he has seen many improvements in the library over the years and part of those changes were from proceeds from the book sale.
