Mark Riddle, 55, of Caldwell County

Mark Anthony Riddle, age 55 died suddenly Friday morning September 6, 2024. Mark, a beloved husband, dad, grandpa, friend, brother-touched many lives. His passing leaves a sad void in our hearts.

Mark is survived by his wife, Tina. Children Shawna (Brian McCoy), Samantha Riddle, Rebecca Gaffney, Alex Peek and Joshua Riddle. Grandsons Brian II, Chris, Colton, Keagan and Jaxon McCoy. Two sisters, Candy Crump and Kathy Kinnis. Two brothers Richard Riddle and Bobby Riddle. Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, father in law Gary Bailey, sisters in law Lisa (Kurt Aldridge) and Sandy (Al Alan) and very dear friends-Rudy Matthews, Wanda Kinnis, Keith Travis, John Lindsey, Joe Stinnett and Abby Matthews.

Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Sue Riddle, grandparents Aubrey and Nellie Johnson. Mother in law Sue Bailey and in-law grandparents Virginia and Milley Peek.

Mark loved spending time with his family and his friends. Mark attended his grandsons sporting events and school activities. He was always present and their biggest fan. Mark was the best papaw ever. Mark was also a true and loyal friend.

Mark worked in the timber business and was a talented handy man. His hobbies included fishing and searching with his metal detector.

Marks life was not an easy life. He faced many hardships and personal demons along his journey-but never became bitter or ungrateful. Mark was a baptized believer in Jesus Christ and his belief showed in his daily walk. He was a member of Dycusburg Baptist Church. Mark was a kind and loving person who helped anyone he could. Mark will be missed but Heaven is a better place with him there.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Morgan’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
