Mobile Disaster Recovery Centers Coming Christian, Todd Counties On Limited Basis

Frankfort officials announced Friday the September 9 arrival of Mobile Disaster Recovery Centers for Christian, Todd and Simpson counties — for those Kentuckians who experienced loss from the Memorial Day weekend severe storms.

In Christian County:

It will be at the Hopkinsville Public Works Complex on 705 N. Main Street.

Working hours are 10 AM until 7 PM Monday through Friday, and from 10 AM until 5 PM, Saturday, September 14, when it will then cease operation.

In Todd County:

It will be at the Todd County Dispatch Center on 813 S. Main Street in Elkton.

Working hours are 10 AM until 7 PM Monday through Friday, and from 10 AM until 5 PM, Saturday, September 14, when it will also cease operations.

In Simpson County:

It will be at the Simpson County Health Department on 1131 S. College Street in Franklin.

Working hours are 10 AM until 7 PM Monday through Friday, and from 10 AM until 5 PM, Saturday, September 14, when it, too, will cease operations.

Three other Disaster Recovery Centers remain open in Muhlenberg, Hopkins and Greenup counties.

In Hopkins County:

It’s at Madison Square Shopping Center on 114 Madison Square Drive in Madisonville.

Working hours are from 10 AM until 7 PM Monday through Saturday.

Kentucky homeowners and renters in Butler, Caldwell, Calloway, Christian, Clay, Greenup, Hopkins, Knox, Logan, Muhlenberg, Simpson, Todd, Trigg, Warren and Whitley counties can apply for FEMA assistance at any of the Disaster Recovery Centers in Kentucky.

FEMA representatives will help with applications for federal assistance and provide information about other disaster recovery resources.
